Okay, so I’m being a bit naughty. I am blogging about a trip I might have taken 5 weeks ago.
Disclaimer: So this is not a real-time update of what I’m up to but to be fair the idea of blogging my adventures did not occur till just after this amazing holiday at the tail end of the summer. I thought it would be unfair not to share this experience with you guys…
So we flew into Rome, went to our hotel for a nightcap and then headed to Positano at the break of dawn the next day. I’d heard a lot about the serene blue waters at the Amalfi coast but the reality was much better than hearsay!
Positano is a really pretty village by the Amalfi coast which is based on a hillside and is really vertical. There are hardly any flat streets and you have to take stairs up and down from the hotel to the village centre and/or the beach. This concept where stairs were switched for streets was really fun!
After resting a bit in the hotel room after the journey, it was time to explore the village. Our hotel was 102 steps above the city centre and the coast.
After you reached the bottom at the coast level, you have to look up to see the whole almost vertical line of houses and hotels that make up this quaint village.
You get a chance to pose as well…ahem!
After a bit of walking about the small village, and peeking into small boutique shops it was almost time for supper. Our hunt for a venue ended pretty much in 5 minutes after we saw this beautiful restaurant by the coast called Chez Black.
The meal was so good that we stayed till the sun went down!
Post supper it was time for a walk to burn up a tad bit of those glorious carbs just devoured! I ended up lazing on the beach chairs after a while and enjoying the serene noise of the waves by the coast.
The light of the stars helped as well in laying out the perfect atmosphere!
It was time to head back to the bed after such a lovely day.
