London Fashion Weekend happens at the end of the London Fashion Week. The weekend event has a few catwalks shows, and a lot of designer pop-ups to shop at discounted prices!
I had opted to attend a catwalk show as part of my visit, which was organised by Very Exclusive. It was a great show which showcased four key Autumn/Winter trends.
- Into the Wild – which showed a lot of animal prints into the clothes from leopard to zebra to cheetah.
- Marsala tones – This was the trend I definitely want to incorporate in my autumn wardrobe, where you wear marsala shade from head to toe or wear a statement piece which gives a pop of marsala colour to your outfit.
- Super Retro – showcased the 70’s style with a lot of flares, suede pieces and wide-brimmed hats.
- Punk – Leather and tartan pattern was ever-present in pieces which showed punk. Loved all the pieces!
Here’s a few snapshots I managed to click while staring at the amazing pieces on show at the ramp. Also, all attendees got a Mary Katrantzou tote filled with goodies. Scroll down to see the contents of the bag!
After loitering around in the designer pop-up shops in Saatchi gallery and watching the catwalk show, I wanted to explore the shops in Sloane Square area. I ended up buying a candle from Zara Home and a Becca sculptor/highlighter combo from Space NK. Ooh, and there’s sales going on again? So I had to make use of it and picked up a couple of clothing pieces for my formal wardrobe from Banana Republic 🙂
All in all I was quite happy with a Saturday well spent!
